Town: Alkborough

Cache Description:

Placed near to Julian's Bower,a turf cut maze. No one knows who originally cut this 12 metre maze or just when but it was first recorded in 1697. Children will enjoy going round in circles!!

Park at the coordinates given above and then follow the Nev Cole Way towards Julian's Bower to seek the cache.

Town: Scunthorpe

Cache Description: Go down side footpath to cache, placed on undeveloped wasteland, sometimes dog walkers near. The cache is a small lockbox with a log book and pen behind a retail outlet centre on the edges of Scunthorpe.

A nano cache at a great old pier.
The most difficult cache yet, partly because we didn't know what to look for.
we got there in the end.

Historic places around Scunthorpe series Black 35mm Film Canister

St Johns Church

The former Parish of Scunthorpe, was built in 1891 by JS Crowther and was a gift to the town of Rowland Winn on whos land Iron Ore was mined for the local steel industry. The church no longer has a religious function and has become part of a museum and art gallery (20-21), so called because renovation of the church and the construction of the attached building started in the 20th century and was completed in the 21st century, hence 20-21.

A nice walk through a small wooded area close to the A18 and Central Park in Scunthorpe.

Geocaching is a high tech form of treasure hunting using GPS co-ordinates.
