Town: Bridlington

This is a recently added Cache in Bridlington heading towards Sowerby Hall.

This was Becca's first Wheelchair equiped Cache and despite the wet weather and plentyiful muggels fun was had by all on this .

Town: Bridlington

This is a recently added cache in the Town of Bridlington, which has had a significant amount of money spend on the South Promenade recently.
The weather was wet and foggy but at least it kept the muggles away.

The Cache

Town: Bridlington

On this afternoon Caching we attempted to find 2 Caches around the South beach of Bridlington.

Tracy Joined to help me on this search as Mrs M was feeling a little green around the gills.

The co-ordinates for the first cache took us to a metal structure holding up a piece of modern art work, from all the clues given the cache was a magnetic nano hidden underneath the structure but alas we couldn't find it. There are far to many hiding places and this is definitely better suited to a gang hunt.

The second hunt was more successful. The cache was about 1km away from the previous cache, well hidden underneath a concrete 2nd world war bunker. The Beach on the South side of Bridlington is very large and provides a nice backdrop for a pleasant walk. We were fortunate enough to catch the RedBull Kite surfing championship which was being held on the beach that afternoon - truly impressive stuff.

Town Bridlington.

This was the final find of our holiday and what a nice way to end, by finding a cache that we had previously failed to find.

This cache is situated near the Bridlington Priory and Bale Gate Museum.
Both are well worth visiting, with the Museum proving to be a really interesting way to spend an hour. Bridlington really suffered during the war and all the evidence is here.

If you get chance to walk around the Priory then take it, it's very interesting inside.

Town: Bempton

This was a multipart cache through the nature reserve at Bempton, which we did whilst staying in Bridlington. Some of Becca's old uni mates helped us.

A truly great cache where we saw many birds nesting of the cliffs including Puffins.
Before we could find the cache we had to find information from 3 points first. This is one of the best caches we had done.

We left The Two Seasons of December - Gold Geocoin, and picked up a nice Geocoin.

Replacing the Cache.

Today we went out to see the cliffs at Bempton whilst on the way to find a cache and we had a very enjoyable couple of hours there bird watching in fantastic sunshine.

Bempton Cliffs are famous for it's bird colonies and wildlife and it's easy to see way - there were literally thousands of birds flying and there are 5 really good vantage points from where to see the birds or to take nice photo's.

We even managed to see a puffin or 2.

After the birdwatching we went to find a cache is nearby Buckton, unfortunatly depsite the cache being found the day before we came back empty handed.

Town: Brindlington

Cache Description:

The cache box is only 1 litre in size and is placed in the grounds of Sowerby Hall, there are some cracking views of Bridlington available from the Cache area.

From the car park you must visit a prominent notice board at the waypoint shown on Sewerby Fields (this is through the field used as a car park at the bottom end of a small cluster of trees) to solve the answers to the poser as follows:

Study the tree formation on the board and working in an anti clockwise direction counting upwards from Revenge which is 0, you will find the full coordinates for the final cache location.

A - Defence, B - Colossus, C - Temeraire, D - Bellerophon, E - Achille, F - Mars.

We really enjoyed this cache, if you don't feel like the walk then there is a good landtrain serice from Bridlington to Sowerby

Sowerby Hall and it's Zoo is well worth visiting

Cache Description:
A traditional cache located in a small wood with the Danes Dyke tourist spot with public access.

We actually walked past the cache a couple of times, until the tree formations in a picture helped us.
