Town: Nr Scunthorpe

This was the third and final cache tonight, and a niche cache to end with on a country road.

The cache was quite well hidden but if you use the clue it's easy to find.

This was the second find of the night and was night next to a train track, we were fortunate enough to see a train go by whilst we are there.

The cache was a small magnetic cache hidden is a great place.

We were able to park right next to the Cache.

The first cache of 3 on a lovely night of Geocaching with a large group of geocaches friends.

Not a lot of walking tonight as all of the caches were easily reachable by car.
This was good as it meant that we finished earlier then expected and we were able to go out for dinner together.

The final of our finds on this night took us out into the countryside, and the find was made difficult by supplied GPS coordinates led us some way away from the cache and we ended up needlessly searching, climbing through bushes. This led to a gumpy Bex ;-)

We found the cache in the end and then it was time for tea ;-)

Tonight was John's first attempt at geocaching and this was his first find.

With the help of Sara, Paul & young John we found this cache a little way in some local woods.

It was a nice walk on a nice evening and the cache was easy to find.

Group Caching is certainly good fun.

Town: West Butterwick.

Everynow and again it's good to come across a cache which you can't find, as geocaching needs to be a challenge.

A group of us set out for a nights geocaching and we were beaten by our first cache, which is hidden along the banks of a drainage ditch next to farmers fields.
Unfortunatly the nettles were really wild at the moment and after much stinging we decided to move on to the next cache and we will revisit this cache later in teh year.

Cache Description: What a nice walk through a wood, and crossing a railway line and into a farmers field.
The woods are nice with great smelling honeysuckle bushes. There's a strange ruined building near the cache.

Cache Description: Paul guided us to this cache whilst on the way to another one - it would have been a shame to miss it as its in a wood that has nice walks and we didn't know anything about it.

Cache Description: A nice walk on a public footpath through a farmers field, the walk takes you along a motor way.

We heard lots of wildlife - possibly Rats - and an owl took off just a few feet away from us.

Cache Description:

This is the second time we have tried to find this cache, the first time we struggled but this time we found it.

The cache is hidden on a public footpath that takes you through farm land, and past an interesting pond.

The big issue about this Cache is the sheer quantity and size of the nettles, so we got stung - alot....but its all part of the adventure :-D

Cache Description:

This is a great cache very close to where we live and we never knew how much beauty was near us.
Hidden in the woods is a very nice duck pond with swans :-D

This would be an idea place for bird watching.

Cache was a water tight container hidden at a base of a tree.

Paul helped us find this cache on a nice evening caching.
